A Royal tradition - Gemstone Cameo Portraits
In history, agate portrait cameos were often gifts from royalty to their subjects. The finest of these antique cameos, some more than 2000 years old are often displayed in museums.
Recently Gareth Eckley made this cameo brooch of Pocahontas. This was presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II while she was in Richmond, Virginia as part of the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement.

Guide to prices
A portrait cameo can range in price from $1,200 to over $20,000 in US dollars. The average price range for most of the cameos on this site is $2,500 - $5,500. I can only give an exact price quote after viewing your photographs and learning more of your wishes for the design of the Cameo Jewel.
What is the order process ?
Please contact me via email with your request. I will respond quickly with information on expected lead times for your order. My photo guide explains how to select your images for the portrait carving. I will send a design proposal within a few days.
My goal is to create the very best design for your Jewel. I welcome your ideas and you will have direct contact with the portrait artist at all times by email or phone.
Family Crest Signet Rings
I have been carving family crest and coats of arms onto gold and stone for over 21 years. These are carved deeply and usually in reverse for sealing rings. You can see examples of my work in my Family Crests Gallery
